March 2, 2005 - R.J. Gator's to kick-off Stuart grand opening with a weekend-long celebration
Stuart, Fla. - This weekend, R.J. Gator's will be celebrating the opening of its newest location in Stuart with a private VIP party on Friday and a charity dinner on Saturday.
Located at 2902 Southeast Gran Park Way , just off of U.S. 1, the restaurant will open to the public for lunch and dinner on Monday, March 6.
Friday's invitation-only VIP party will provide a preview of the new location and a buffet-style dinner, featuring a variety of signature items from the R.J. Gator's special "Gatorizing" menu. Hundreds of invitations have been sent to the community, welcoming prominent area representatives, members of the Stuart/Martin County Chamber of Commerce and more. Tim Timoteo, R.J. Gator's founder and CEO, will also be present. Seatings will take place each half-hour beginning at 5:30 p.m.
On Saturday, R.J. Gator's is hosting a private dinner to raise funds on behalf of Molly's House and The Education Foundation of Martin County. A seated dinner will be served, and a percentage of the total sales from that evening will benefit each of these non-profit organizations. Judy Cruz, executive director of Molly's House, and Susan Cupp, executive director of The Education Foundation, will both be present and available for media interviews.
Since opening with one location on Indiantown Road , Jupiter-based R.J. Gator's has built its reputation on providing guests with a varied selection of Florida-style menu items amid a captivating Everglades-themed ambiance. Just as its menu has evolved from wings and sandwiches to a seafood grill with fresh fish and steaks along with its original signature items, R.J. Gator's has also experienced significant growth. Today, the restaurant has evolved into a thriving 21-unit chain, including eight company-owned restaurants and 13 franchise locations, as well as plans for an additional 13 locations within the next year.
Stuart's original R.J. Gator's opened in 1988 and was the company's second restaurant. The new location will reintroduce the R.J. Gator's concept, featuring fresh Florida seafood and emphasizing tropical elements of the Florida everglades.
